Rabbi Rafi Kaiserblueth meets Rabbi Yoav Ende...
Living Pluralism:
Can a deeply diverse community also remain deeply connected?
Sunday, 14 June, 8pm AEDT
In an increasingly polarized world, what does it mean to build a community grounded in both difference and belonging?
Rabbi Yoav Ende joins us from Kibbutz Hannaton in Israel’s Lower Galilee, where he has helped shape one of Israel’s most compelling examples of pluralistic Jewish life. What began as a Masorti community has evolved into a broader and more diverse shared community, bringing together families and individuals across different religious backgrounds and perspectives.
As founder of the Hannaton Educational Center, Yoav has also created transformative educational and leadership programs for young adults from Israel and around the world — focused on Jewish identity, democracy, shared society, and meaningful engagement with Israel’s future.
This conversation will explore the realities of pluralism in Israel today: the challenges, the tensions, and the possibilities. Together, we’ll consider what Hannaton’s story might offer communities throughout the Jewish world seeking deeper connection across difference.
Moderated by Rabbi Rafi Kaiserblueth and co-hosted with Emanuel Synagogue.
