The CJLS recently passed two teshuvot at their last meeting:
- "On Proving Jewish Identity" by Rabbi Reuven Hammer
- "The Status of the Deaf and of Sign Language" by Rabbi Pamela Barmash.

Rabbi Reuven Hammer will be visiting Australia in August and September, teaching at Mandelbaum House, Emanuel Synagogue in Sydney and attending Kehilat Nitzan in Melbourne. An exciting opportunity to meet and study with a prominent scholar, one of the founders of the Masorti movement in Israel.
